Letter of application

Dear Sir/Madam,   I am writing to apply for the position I saw in your announcement for a part-time job. I would be grateful if you consider my application for the vacancy in your James&Mills Co.   I am 20  years old and am currently studying Economy but I have free evenings. I am interested in that position because I would like to gain some experience for my future job related to your Accounts Department. Unfortunately, I have no formal work experience.   As far as my personality is concerned, I would describe myself as an honest and reliable person. I am also hard working and quite sociable. I feel I would be well suited for this position.   I would be glad to attend an interview. Iam available at any time. I look forward to hearing from you.  Yours faithfully, Zuzanna Tomasik.

Would you consider going vegan?

Of course I would consider going vegan. Actually I already tried going on a similar diet, vegetarianism. It wasn't easy for me because as far as I don't want animals to suffer, I like eating meat so I guess that veganism wolud be much harder. I think that vegan diet may be healthier from a "typical" one with animal products but it has to be well-balanced. You should give your body the  nutrients it needs to function correctly.

What does it mean to be a real man in today's world?

First of all, in our community we distinguish many different cultures according to a place. Because of that it's hard to say what does it mean to be a real man in general because in each culture a man has different role in a family and society. In my opinion a real man doesn't have a certain definition, but generally he should be just good as a human-be kind and tolerant.

Would you like to spend a week in the Mandarin Oriental?

Yes, but only if I didn't have to pay or I would be rich enough to afford it. Normally I wouldn't choose a place like that because it doesn't impress me so much. But the place has a great location to visit London and this is very import for me because I usually travel for sightseeing. I'm sure spending a week in the Mandarin Oriental would be a pure pleasure because of it's delicious food, the atmosphere and the luxury.

Why in the age of science do so many people belive in supernatural things?

I think that nowadays people don't believe in supernatural things so much like in the past but still it's quite a big number. It's probably because we want to know that something happens on purpose. We simply don't want to think that things so serious like e.g death is usually a matter of health and we can't do anything about it exept the treatment. That's why people may have invented religion and supernatural things, to explain themselves lots of hard to understant things in the world.

Who should we blame for obesity?

I'm not sure who should we blame for obesity, but for sure in today's food there are a lot of fattening ingrediens. First of all we do have sugar now in nearly everything and we don't even notice that. There is also a lot of other unhealthy stuff, e.g animal fat which is much worse that the vegetable one. I think that we mostly put those ingredients to extend expiry date as a result we have to use preservatives. The quality of food also decreased because people want to produce it in cheapier ways so they use worse products which are more unhealthy.

Should money be spent on space exploration?

According to Steven Hawking, we won't survive in the next 1000 years unless we spread into space and I agree with his theory. In the past our race didn't have problems with overpopulation because of wars and plagues. Now when the medicine is developing and we try to live in peace we don't have such problems. I think that if the number of people will grow and we pollute our planet it's a matter of time when we won't be able to live here. That's why we should invest in space exploration to find other place to live.
